Why doesn't the searchhelp work in the following InputField definition?: inputfield (2,62) "Indirect Reporting Schema" (2,80) "name=My_IndBerSchema" "size=9" "techname=RIWO00-RBNRB"

The label "Indirect Reporting Schema" is too long; it covers the first part of the entry field in the screen layout, although you wouldn't think so because the proportional font of the label makes it appear shorter.
